A maker of good quality honey from the prairies! John put together mini honey jars for my wedding favours. Very reasonably priced, you can pick the type of honey you want, and the custom labels are included! I only gave 4/5 since the original jar labels sent were incorrect but John's customer service was outstanding in helping me fix it! I definitely recommend this honey company for wedding favours!

Been regularly buying the 15kg pails of clover honey from John Russell for eons, never had better! I should be embarrassed that such an amount only lasts about a year in a two person household…

I tried the wildflower honey for the first time. It is absolutely delicious. It has a light floral taste. Reminds me of the fresh spring smell on my granny’s farm when I was young. I’m hooked and will be purchasing more for certain. This is the best quality honey I have had in some time.

I have been buying honey from John's business for about a year now. I usually buy in bulk to share as christmas gifts. I'm a tea drinker and I love love love the lemon liquid, along with the ginger and cinnamon stick. I just tried the apple and I think I'm going to have to stock up on it. I've used it on my baked ham, French toast, and plain toast. I'm looking forward to trying it on other foods. Delicious honeys!!!!

I have had JR honey in the past. I recently ordered an assortment of the flavoured honeys and thought it was time I left a review. Their honey is exquisite. From its taste and all natural ingredients, to its packaging, this honey is second to none. Plus it's local. I highly recommend The John Russell Honey Company's products to anyone who loves nature's natural sweetener.

When I contacted John about having a very short estimated burn time for their beeswax taper candles as compared to other brand’s estimates he responded promptly, and did a burn-time test that very day. Turns out the initial estimate was wrong, and the burn time is in line with other candles on the market (the website is now updated to the correct time). He then graciously offered me a free set of candles in thanks for me bringing the error to his attention. When I went to pick up the free candles, I snagged a few of the other products – the lip balm, coconut honey soap, and moisturizing bar. I was also looking to get a second set of taper candles, but they were out of stock! They tossed in a honey bear candle for free as a condolence for not having more tapers.Not only are the products good, but the people behind the products are generous and smart – they have a new customer thanks to the courteous, prompt, and generous way they handled my inquiry and visit. Giving away a couple small items is worth it if you secure a good name for yourself and future sales – a lesson other companies should take to heart. If you’re looking for beeswax or other related products this is a great place to get them!
